Best Osmo Action Accessories

The Osmo Action is DJI's first "Action" camera that is directly competing with GoPro. The Osmo Pocket was competing to a point, but the Osmo Action directly competes with the GoPro Hero 7.

Featuring screens in the front and back of the camera, you'll be able to tell if you're framing your vlogs properly with the front facing screen. Capable of shooting 4K HDR video, 8x slow motion, DJI's "RockSteady" electronic stabilization. All within a waterproof package (up to 11 meters) - the Osmo Action is a pretty awesome action camera.

With every camera, however, comes buying accessories. Accessories can make shooting with the Osmo Action a lot easier with different mounts, SD cards, handles and cases!

Osmo Action Care Refresh

Action cameras are designed to take a beating, they are strapped to the outside of cars, underwater and everywhere else in between. DJI Care Refresh is DJI's answer to a broken Osmo Action, definitely worth it considering the punishment your camera will go through to get the shots!

Extra Batteries

A very important part of action cameras, batteries! The Osmo Action can stay powered up for 2 hours without RockSteady Stabilization turned on, or an hour with it on. That's pretty standard for action cameras, but compared to other cameras that's not a lot of juice for an all day shoot. You can buy an extra battery on it's own, or the Osmo Action Charging Kit that comes with 2 batteries and a battery charging hub. The charging hub is great for charging multiple batteries quickly at once.

Best Osmo Action ND Filters

I'm a big fan of the clarity and quality of Polar Pro filters. I used them with my Phantom 4 Pro, Mavic 2 Pro, Osmo Pocket and now with the Osmo Action. When it comes to getting properly exposed cinematic footage, ND filters are a must, and I like the Polar Pro ND and Polarized ND filters.

Fast Micro SD Cards

Not all Micro SD Cards are created equal, when it comes to 4K footage, you want to have a fast enough card that you wont miss and shots. If you've ever been recording, and the camera stops recording for no reason - theres a good chance the SD card is too slow. Below are SD cards linked that are quick enough (160MB/s read, 90MB/s write) to keep up with the Osmo Action!

Floating Handle

If you're going to be using the Osmo Action around water, it is a good idea to have a floating handle. Not only does it offer some additional support when swimming with the camera, but it floats if you drop it in the water! Cheap insurance, have these for my GoPros! This handle uses the action camera-style mounts, so it's compatible with GoPros and Osmo Action!

Additional Adhesive Mounts

The small size allows for some unique mounting options for the Osmo Action, having extra mounting options for curved and flat surfaces comes in handy!
