Every time I purchase a new drone, I find myself wondering if the Fly More combo is worth the extra money. When I was purchasing the Mavic 2 Pro (The Fly More Combo also works for the Mavic 2 Zoom) I wrote down a list of all of the accessories that the Fly More Combo came with and started to do some math. I thought I would share that math with you guys so you don't have to do it! Spoiler alert: the Fly More Kit is totally worth it. But let's see the numbers!
The Fly More Kit's of the past have been bundled with the drones, but the Mavic 2 models offer the Fly More Kit as an add-on item. So you purchase the Mavic 2 Pro/Zoom, then add the kit separately - unlike just buying the bundles in the past. So what exactly is in the Fly More kit?
If you were to buy the contents of the kit separately, you'd be spending $644 do recreate the Mavic 2 Fly More Kit.
If you're going to be purchasing every component of the Mavic 2 Fly More Kit anyways, I would definitely recommend purchasing the Kit to save some money! For this drone, you're going to need more batteries than the one that it comes with. If you're going to be flying a lot and don't need the bag, I would buy all of the pieces of the Fly More Kit individually and substitute the bag for another battery. The battery hub and car charger come in very handy when trying to keep all of your batteries charged! I rely on them pretty heavily and would definitely purchase them if I was piecing together my own Fly More Kit!
