After flying the Mavic Air just about everyday for a few weeks, I've figured out the preflight configuration of the Mavic Air pretty well.. but every once in a while – I forget something. The on board 8gb of storage helps when you forget something like a Micro SD card, but if you're filming 4k video you might still be out of luck.
So I decided to make a Mavic Air preflight checklist! Preflight check lists aren't just for noobie drone pilots - having a list and using it as a guide ensures you'll always have fully charged batteries and clean memory card. It's very easy to skip a step and miss something.
I broke the Preflight Checklist into 6 different parts, so you can skip ahead if you've already done a portion of the checklist! The different sections of the checklist are:
This is the list I go off of everytime I fly my Mavic Air. It is the most portable drone I own and keep it with me at all times. Since this is in my everyday work bag, I don't always have the best habits about re-charging batteries and clearing the memory cards of my cameras since it sees so much use. Using a list helps keep me on track and reinforcing good pre and post flight habits!
I hope you guys found this pre-flight checklist for the Mavic Air helpful, if you have anything you'd like to add leave a comment below and I'll add it to this list! Always looking for ways to improve!
